# Competing CTAs on homepage — dev spec
Site: hostinger.com · Priority 2 · High · Effort: Medium (2-5 days)

## Problem
The homepage has 12 competing CTAs above the fold, creating ambiguity about the primary next step and diluting conversion focus.

## Evidence (from the live site)
> 12 distinct calls to action compete on the same page: “Create a website”, “Explore agentic AI”, “Get connector”, “Contact How to reach us.”, “Get started”, “Explore all offers”, “Create with AI”, “Explore Ecommerce”.

## Current state
cta: Multiple CTAs: Create a website, Explore agentic AI, Get connector, Contact, Get started, Explore all offers, Create with AI, Explore Ecommerce, Explore AI email marketing, Start a chat, Learn more, Explore templates; notes: No clear primary CTA above the fold.

## Required change
cta: Primary: Create a website; secondary actions de-emphasized; notes: Reduce number of competing CTAs and visually prioritize a single primary action.

## Acceptance criteria
- GIVEN a first-time visitor on the affected page
- WHEN the change is live
- THEN Reduce number of competing CTAs and visually prioritize a single primary action.
- AND no layout regression at 375px / 768px / 1280px
- AND the changed control is keyboard-reachable with an accessible name

## Tracking
- Fire `cro_competing_ctas_homepage` on interaction with the changed element
- Verify the event fires in BOTH variants before opening traffic

## Test plan
- Two-proportion z-test, 95% significance, 80% power
- 315,206 visitors per variant to detect a 5.0% relative lift
- Run at least one full business cycle; 37 days

## Rollback
Feature-flag the change; revert if the primary metric drops for 3 consecutive days.
