# Misleading price signals — dev spec
Site: yahoo.com · Priority 8 · High · Effort: Low (0.5-2 days)

## Problem
The homepage displays dollar amounts that appear to be prices but are actually article content, creating a false impression of product pricing.

## Evidence (from the live site)
> The homepage body sample contains prices like '$172,000', '$28,000', '$220,000', '$75,000' in the context of news articles, not product listings. The page has no pricing page or product offerings, yet these figures are visible.

## Current state
h1: No H1 on homepage; cta: Sign in, See more stories on Yahoo 100, See forecast; notes: Prices appear in article snippets, not as product prices.

## Required change
h1: No H1 needed; cta: No change; notes: Ensure any displayed dollar amounts are clearly labeled as part of editorial content, not product pricing.
